Defeat to Kilbrin in Round two of the E. Tarrant and Sons Duhallow Junior A Hurling Championship on Friday night, has left Newmarket awaiting the outcome of the Kilbrin Castlemagner clash, to find out if they qualify for the knockout stages.
Newmarket travelled to Kilbrin on Friday night last, aiming to increase their chances of qualifying for the league knockout stages.
The Newmarket Junior B Hurlers took on Kilbrin in Round 1 of the championship on Saturday evening, the 18th September.
In a repeat fixture of the 2019 Duhallow final, Newmarket and Kilbrin squared off in Tullylease on Saturday afternoon, the 14th of August, this time in round 1 of the competition.
On Tuesday, the 13th of July last, Newmarket were on the road to take on Kilbrin in round 2 of the Duhallow Junior B hurling league.
The Newmarket Junior A hurlers played Kilbrin on the 22nd of June in Kilbrin, the home side were victorious on a scoreline of 0-10 to 2-11.
A ten point haul from midfielder Donal Hannon helped Newmarket to a 2-13 to 2-11 victory over Kilbrin. The game was played on September 2nd in Tullylease.

Conditions were tough on the day with swirling winds and showers but the Freemount sod allowed for a good game of hurling in which both teams scored some fine points. It was Newmarket that got off to the perfect start when Shane Congo Murphy rifled over the opening point after five minutes. Jack Murphy followed this with a point of his own before Paul Verling struck two outstanding frees to give Newmarket a four point lead at the quarter mark.
