Newmarket recorded their second victory of the week in the junior B hurling league with a well earned home win over Lismire by 1-9 to 0-8 at Newmarket on Friday evening.
Newmarket were defeated by Lismire in the junior B hurling championship clash played in splendid sunshine at the latter’s venue on Sunday afternoon where a strong second half performance saw the home side emerge victorious by 1-14 to 0-7.
Newmarket’s junior B hurlers claimed their first victory of the season when they defeated Lismire at the latter’s venue on Thursday evening last by 3-6 to 0-7, this despite being very wasteful in scoring positions throughout the hour.
Newmarket were defeated by Lismire in the Junior B hurling championship game played at Newmarket on Sunday morning by 1-14 to 1-8.
Newmarket suffered the first defeat of their league campaign when they were on the receiveing end of a fine Lismire comeback at the latters venue on Thursday evening, the game ending 1-13 to 0-14, with Newmarket having enjoyed a six point advantage at the halfway mark.
