Newmarket suffered a disappointing defeat against St. Vincent’s by 0-8 to 0-5 in the opening round of the Premier Intermediate football championship game played at Mallow on Monday evening.
Newmarket begin their 2009 Evening Echo Premier Intermediate Championship campaign, this Monday against St. Vincent’s in Mallow at 7:00pm. The match is a repeat of last year’s tight semi-final, which St. Vincent’s won by the narrowest of margins.
