Newmarket’s minor footballers completed their league campaign in fine fashion when they travelled to Cullen and defeated the home side by 3-9 to 3-8.
Newmarket’s junior footballers recorded a notable victory over Cullen by 0-9 to 0-8 in the latest round of the Ducon Cup played at Newmarket of Friday evening.
Newmarket bowed out of this years Boherbue Co-Op Duhallow Junior Football Championship when the holders Cullen inflicted defeat on them by 1-12 to 1-6 at Boherbue on Thursday evening.
Newmarket advanced to the semi final of the Ducon Cup when they held on for a narrow victory over Cullen by 1-6 to 1-5, in the quarter final game played in difficult conditions at Ballydesmond on Friday evening.

Newmarket win Examiner Cup Final
NEWMARKET won the 1968 Examiner Cup final at Banteer on Sunday when they defeated the holders Cullen, by 1-6 to 0-1 in a game that provided the crowd with great amusement.
