Newmarket entertained Knocknagree on Tuesday night, the 10th of May, in the Duhallow Junior A football League, with the guests racing into an early lead.

Scores from TJ Bodie (2) and Dave Cottrell (2) kept the gap to the minimum, before Knocknagree again forged ahead, 0-04 to 0-08. Newmarket fought their way back into the contest and levelled the match just before half time, through a Dave Cottrell goal and a late TJ Bodie free.

Scores from Daniel Culloty, Cathal Browne and Dave Cotrell gave the home side an early second half advantage, before Knocknagree took over the scoring and built up a strong 1-08 to 1-18 lead over the next twenty minutes. Late goals from Daniel Culloty, both from placed ball, where not enough to catch the visitors, who secured the 3-08 to 1-18 win.
