Newmarket’s minor footballers had their first league outing away to Croke Rovers at Castlemagner on Saturday evening, with a strong home side claiming the points by 4-10 to 1-5.
Newmarket found themselves hit by a blitz at the start, conceding two goals and a point within four minutes, this despite some outstanding goalkeeping from David Quinlan.
