Minor footballers defeated by Kanturk
Newmarket’s minor footballers were defeated by Kanturk in their second league outing at the latter’s venue on Wednesday evening by 2-7 to 1-5.
John Ryan was Newmarket’s talisman in the first half scoring his sides three points while the turnover saw the home side in front by 2-3 to 0-3. Liam O’Callaghan had an early second half goal for Newmarket but despite points from John Ryan and Conor Cronin, Kanturk added four points to their tally during the half to emerge victors by five points.
