Newmarket’s intermediate footballers recorded their second league victory of the campaign after an impressive display led to a home victory over Macroom by 2-11 to 2-9 on Sunday afternoon.
Newmarket’s poor start to this year’s league campaign continued when they endured their third successive defeat, away to Macroom on St. Patrick’s morning by 0-13 to 0-7, despite a highly impressive first half display.
Newmarket’s under 21 football team were defeated by a strong Macroom side in the County semi final played at Banteer on Wednesday evening by 1-11 to 0-6.
