A point in the final seconds of injury time denied Newmarket a share of the spoils in an exciting junior B hurling league contest against Meelin at the latter’s venue on Wednesday evening, the home side edging victory by 4-9 to 1-17.

Newmarket maintained their terrific start to the junior B hurling league when they recorded their second successive victory at home to Meelin on Thursday evening by 3-13 to 4-8 in a keenly contested game.
Newmarket competed their first junior B hurling game in over a decade when they travelled to Kilbrin on Sunday and emerged with a fine win from an entertaining contest, 2-12 to 0-14 in perfect conditions on a warm day.
