Newmarket’s intermediate footballers claimed their first league victory of the season when they recorded an impressive home victory over Glanmire by 3-13 to 1-10 on Monday evening last.
Newmarket’s under 21 footballers progressed to the County semi final when they defeated Glanmire in the replayed quarter final at Kildorrery on Sunday evening by 0-9 to 0-7 after a dour contest.

Newmarket bowed out of this years Premier Intermediate football championship when they were defeated by Glanmire 1-15 to 3-5, in an exciting contest at a Ballyclough venue that survived severe thunder showers for hours before the game.
A last gasp Glanmire goal deep into injury time, denied Newmarket their first victory in this years Premier Intermediate Football League and earned a draw for the home side, 2-9 to 1-12 in blustery, wintery conditions, at Glanmire on Monday last.
