Hurlers too strong for Freemount

A bright opening ten minutes saw Newmarket open a 1-04 to 0-02 lead in their round 2 tie against Freemount on Sunday afternoon, with points from Ryan O’Keeffe, Donal Hannon and Rory Lynn (2) adding to Darren O’Keeffe’s well taken goal.

Under 17s narrowly lose out

Wednesday, October 27th, 2021
Commiserations to the Newmarket Under 17 hurlers who lost out to  Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels in the U17 Division 2 Championship Hurling Cup Final, on Saturday last, the 23rd of October. Newmarket had lead 1-08 to 1-02, at the break, but in tough conditions, they lost out 2-10 to 2-12 on the day. Congratulations to Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels on their victory.
