Encouraging win for Junior hurlers
Our junior hurlers had an encouraging home win in the league on Tuesday last, June 26th. On a damp evening in the town park Newmarket won this high scoring game, 1-19 to 3-11.
In this pulsating contest Newmarket had notable performances from Brian Daly and Barry O’Leary who was taking the free’s. This win is a great boost to the hurlers before the championship outing in a few weeks versus Freemount.
